Turmeric is a plant with large, finger-like roots that have been used in cooking and traditional medicine for thousands of years. The main active compound in Turmeric is curcumin, which is a potent anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. Our turmeric powder is certified Fair Trade and Organic.
Tapioca comes from the root of the cassava plant. Tapioca syrup is a natural, alternative sweetener. Because it has a lower glycemic index than more conventional sweeteners and syrups, it makes a great alternative to sugar, agave, and brown rice syrup. Our tapioca is organic.
Tahini is simply a paste made from ground up sesame seeds! We love the nutty flavor that lightly toasted sesame seeds give to tahini, so we use a toasted sesame tahini instead of raw tahini. Our organic sesame tahini is from Soom Foods, a woman (and family) owned business in Philadelphia, PA.
Made from sweet potatoes, this mildly sweet nectar is a great alternative to sugar and agave. Our USDA certified organic, non-GMO verified sweet potato nectar is from North Carolina.
One of our favorite all around good for you ingredients. These seeds are loaded with cholesterol-fighting phystosterols and lignans, fiber, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and manganese for bone health, B-vitamins, and antioxidants (Vitamin E and lignans). Our sesame seeds are USDA certified organic and Non-GMO Verified.
Rosemary is another powerhouse for combating the negative health effects of stress. This little herb is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds and can help support the immune system. Rosemary is a great source of vitamins A, B-6, and C. Used for centuries in aromatherapy, smelling and eating rosemary has been linked to improved mood and cognitive function. Quinoa (keen-wa) is considered an ancient grain - high in nutritional value, it's packed with protein and amino acids. One cup (185g) of cooked quinoa has about 8g of complete protein - meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids that your body does not produce, including lysine which is known to help your body absorb calcium and may play a role in the formation of collagen. Quinoa is also an important source of zinc and magnesium as well as whole fiber. Our certified organic and fair trade puffed quinoa is from small farmers in Bolivia and Peru.

Oats are the edible seeds of oat grass. Rolled are made by steaming oat groats and then rolling them flat. Oats are rich in fiber, phosphorus, magnesium, and zinc. Oats are a great source of beta glucan soluble fiber, which can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. Oats are also a surprising source of high quality protein as well! Our organic rolled oats come from Maine Grains, which has a mission to bring grain farming back to the Northeast, empower local communities of small farmers, create jobs, and improve the land.
We use MCT oil to dilute our hemp extract before it goes into our recipes, to get CBD concentrations at the right potency for our bites. Our organic MCT is derived from coconut oil.
Maple syrup brings the sweet while helping combat stress! Scoring low on the glycemic index scale, this natural sweetener is a good source of zinc, calcium, magnesium, and potassium – helpful in protecting against damage from free radicals and maintaining electrolyte balance. It also has known anti-inflammatory properties. Our organic maple syrup is sourced locally from Bascom Farms in Maine.

The health benefits of this natural sweetener have been known for thousands of years. Honey has antibacterial and antibiotic properties and has a lower glycemic index score than sugar. Also known as the Halaby pepper, this moderately spicy red pepper gets its name from the Northern Syrian city of Aleppo. It has a bold but earthy flavor and adds more of a zing than a heat to food. Like many peppers, Aleppo Pepper is loaded with vitamin A and C, folic acid, potassium and manganese. It is also known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
